[ASSIST. INSTRUCTOR : 4 DAYS]
As an assistant instructor , you are allowed to teach all knowledge development
sessions from any PADI course. Being able to do so will make you more employable
, but should also make you a much more efficient team member. You can also
independently teach the DSD program, or even teach the youngsters Bubblemaker
or Seal Team programs.
The AI course , which is the first part of the IDC program, takes about
4 days to complete . During this time you will learn how to use your instructor
manual. You will learn how to teach academics and how to perform skills
for open water students. You will learn how to brief students, demonstrate
skills in confined and open water dives and debrief them afterwards.
During your assistent instructor training we will be organising pool and open water sessions,
that you will conduct. You will now be helping divers to master diveskills.
As an assistant instructor you are able to teach academics to students from open water up
to divemaster and assist instructors in open water courses with waterskills.
You are now fully prepared to progress in your profession to the next stage.
Once an AI, you will be teaching academics to students and will be hungry
to join your fellow instructors teaching in the water. Your next step is
to take the OWSI
